Consultation Forum

Operating Procedures

Forum members meet 3 to 5 times a year to discuss different agenda items. Sessions can be in person or virtual, but at least two 2-day meetings a year are held in person in Québec City or Montréal. Online sessions are shorter.

Before they meet, members receive a set of briefing documents which will serve as a basis for their reflection on the topics at hand.

Members are reimbursed for expenses incurred from participating in the Forum (meals, accommodations, transportation, etc.) at current government rates. Efforts are currently underway to provide financial compensation to members whose participation is not part of their paid employment.

Members are given a copy of the Consultation Forum’s operating procedures, as established by CSBE. A Code of Ethics sets out the ethical principles and rules Forum members must follow.
